General Terms and Conditions of use of the MarketPlace for Buyers and Sellers
These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Ojahoba marketplace platform (“Platform”) by buyers and sellers. By accessing or using Ojahoba, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Overview
Ojahoba is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers for a wide range of products. All purchases, logistics, deliveries, and payments are managed by Ojahoba to ensure trust, convenience, and reliability.
2. Role of Ojahoba
Ojahoba acts as a facilitator between buyers and sellers, managing order processing, payment collection, product shipment, and returns.
Sellers list their products on the platform, while Ojahoba fulfills the delivery and handles customer support regarding orders.
3. Logistics and Fulfillment
All logistics, including packaging, pickup, and delivery, are carried out exclusively by Ojahoba or its designated logistics partners.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that listed products are genuine, in good condition, and available for prompt pickup upon order notification.
4. Order Management
Once a buyer places an order, Ojahoba will process the payment, notify the seller, and initiate pickup of the product for delivery.
Ojahoba is solely responsible for order tracking, delivery confirmation, and handling any post-delivery issues.
5. Payment and Disbursement to Sellers
Buyers make payments directly to Ojahoba. Sellers do not collect payments independently for orders placed through the platform.
After successful delivery and no return is initiated within 7 calendar days, Ojahoba will release the payment to the seller’s registered bank account.
If a return or dispute arises within the 7-day window, payment will be held until the issue is resolved according to the return policy.
6. Returns and Refunds
Buyers may initiate a return within 7 days of receiving the product, subject to Ojahoba’s return policy.
If a return is valid and the item is collected in good condition, the buyer will be refunded, and the seller will not receive payment for that order.
Sellers must cooperate with Ojahoba during the return process, including accepting returned items when necessary.
7. Seller Obligations
Sellers must ensure product availability, timely handover of items for delivery, and compliance with product listing standards.
Sellers must not communicate directly with buyers to bypass the platform for payment or delivery.
Failure to deliver as expected or a high rate of disputes may result in account suspension or termination.
8. Buyer Responsibilities
Buyers are expected to provide accurate delivery information and be available to receive their orders.
Misuse of the return policy, including false claims, may lead to account restrictions.
9. Platform Fees
Ojahoba may deduct a service or commission fee from the seller’s payout, which will be clearly communicated during account setup or per transaction.
10. Limitation of Liability
Ojahoba is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of the platform.
Ojahoba’s responsibility is limited to facilitating transactions and ensuring product delivery in accordance with these terms.
11. Changes to Terms
Ojahoba reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts within Nigeria.
